What makes our tours unique is that we strive to show and involve you in the unique cultures that you are riding through all the while avoiding the common tourist paths. Whether you’re a serious rider or just someone looking for new adventures while striving to accomplish a personal challenge, we have the tours for you.

Our remote routes are hand-picked from first hand experience and most importantly local knowledge. The roads that we choose to pedal down are true hidden, car-free gems and visually spectacular. We offer you the opportunity to visit places that few, if any, other adventure companies will venture to.  For example, Off Beat Roads is the only cycling company in the world to offer a bicycle tour in Ethiopia.

Off Beat Roads also believes that bicycle travel is one of the most environmentally and socially responsible methods of travel. The exhaust-free bicycle and the slow pace that it ensures mean that we are better able to understand different cultures without clogging their air with junk.

While our primary goal is cycling, each tour has opportunities to take part in other great adventure activities such as caving in Belize and hiking in Ethiopia. Flexibility is something that Off Beat Roads strives to achieve for each tour.

Off Beat Roads is a bicycle touring adventure company based in Toronto, Canada. It’s owned by Scott Robinson an accomplished adventure traveller who has extensively travelled the world on two wheels. In fact, Scott is a Guinness World Record holder for the fastest crossing of Africa using human power. He accomplished this by cycling from the pyramids of Egypt to Cape Town in 120 days. Don’t worry – your tour will be a little more laid-back.
