Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR BOOKINGS AND ACTIVITIES HAPPENING IN SHOT TERM PLANNING – WITHIN A MONTH

In the event that you must cancel your reservation, you may transfer your reservation to a friend or relative at the last moment, just please inform us of the change. Otherwise you will be charged as follows:

Overnight tours all overnight bookings have cancellation fees. Cancellations made more than 15-days in advance of tour date have a 20% fee. Cancellations made with less than 15-days from departure date have a 50% cancellation fee. No-shows and cancellations within 24 hours will be charged 100% of tour rate.

Day tours Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance of tour date have a fee of 20% of tour rate. Cancellations made between 72-24 hours prior to departure, have a cancellation fee of 50%.

No Shows Passenger no-shows and cancellations within 24 hours of tour departure time are not valid for refund.

No refund will be given to anyone who is denied service because of refusal to follow the rules and regulations of the carrier.

If Offbeat Roads cancels a trip due to inadequate load requirements, a 100% refund will be issued. Offbeat Roads reserves the right to cancel any trip. Offbeat Roads is not responsible for any cancellations or modifications of tours due to weather condition, road hazards, vehicle breakdowns, or other unforeseen conditions that may hinder the ability for the tour to take place as scheduled. We reserve the right to cancel or modify any trip due to weather conditions, mechanical breakdowns and circumstances beyond our control. Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. In such cases where minimum numbers are not met, we will refund your monies but will not be responsible for any additional expenses you may have incurred.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR BOOKINGS AND ACTIVITIES HAPPENING IN LONG TERM PLANNING

If you cancel some or all portions of your booking cancellation fees will apply. A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation. If you cancel a trip:

30 days or more prior to departure, we will retain the deposit; Between 15 and 29 days prior to departure, we will retain 50% of the total booking cost
14 days or less prior to departure, we will retain 100% paid by you in connection with the booking

Note that different cancellation conditions apply to some trips and additional services. Your booking consultant will advise if differences apply. Please note that for certain travel arrangements the cancellation charge may be higher than those shown. In certain cases a 100% cancellation fee applies as soon as the booking is made and the ticket is issued. You will be advised of different cancellation charges at time of booking. You are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees. If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services.

If you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made. The above cancellation fees are in addition to fees which may be levied by accommodation providers, travel agents or third party tour and transport operator fees.

We may cancel a trip at any time up to 30 days before departure. We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability, not having the required group size or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or alternatively receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights. Please note that different cancellation conditions may apply to some styles of trips; your booking consultant will advise if differences apply.
