This tiny island nation, otherwise known as the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’, has some of the most beautiful coastlines in the whole of Asia. The sandy unpolluted beaches stretching on endlessly, palm trees swaying in the sea breeze and turquoise waters beckoning, Sri Lanka’s beaches are as magical as they come. It is also one of those places where you can view the largest water mammal the blue whale and the land mammal, the elephant. To add to this it has an abundance of flora and fauna, with misty mountains and stunning waterfalls.
